Electrocardiography means the process of measuring the electrical activity of the heart by using electrodes placed on the skin. So, can the ECG of the earth be measured? Can a photographer manage this like electrodes?
Every answer would certainly be pessimistic. However, Allison Hung Yuns's project express a naive viewpoint about the earth. She keeps a line going on between the different geographies that she photographed and likens this linearity to the electrocardiogram of the Earth. It is a continuous project consisting of both nature and landscapes; from mountains, deserts, grasslands to buildings, factories. Yun also wishes this continuity.
"It is a beautiful planet but we human are destroying it", says Yun and shows us to the earth with good and bad sides before inviting us to focus on the good side.
